September 29, 2025 – Starlab Space congratulates our partners at Northrop Grumman and Voyager Technologies on the successful completion of a critical rendezvous, proximity operations, and docking (RPOD) demonstration.
This achievement marks a major milestone in the effort to develop fully autonomous docking capability for Northrop Grumman’s Cygnus spacecraft. Under an agreement announced in 2023, Northrop Grumman is adapting Cygnus to autonomously dock and deliver cargo to Starlab.
Testing autonomous docking is a big step forward in preparing the spacecraft to safely and reliably support future missions to Starlab, and we are proud to work with Northrop Grumman as they continue to advance this critical capability.
